E-mail: lovett@history.umass.edu Laura Lovett is an Associate Professor in the History Department at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. As a specialist in U.S. Women's History, Lovett's research has focused on pronatalism, reproductive regulation, eugenics, and ideals of the family, as well as the intersection of women's and children's history. She is the author of Conceiving the Future: Pronatalism, Reproduction, and the Family, 1890-1938, and is currently co-editing an anthology on the history and legacy of Free to Be ... You and Me. She is a founding co-editor of the Journal of the History of Childhood and Youth. |
