Stephanie Newman, PhD., is a clinical psychologist in private practice, and a faculty member of the Institute for Psychoanalytic Education (formerly New York University Medical Center Psychoanalytic Institute). In her practice Dr. Newman consults on relationship, parenting, and divorce/family concerns, as well as on depression, anxiety, and stress caused by financial, workplace, social, and medical issues. She is a contributor to and co-editor of Money Talks (Routledge), is the author of Mad Men on the Couch (St. Martin's-Thomas Dunne), and is a regular contributor to Psychology Today, where she writes on and lectures frequently on parenting and family matters. Dr. Newman has presented numerous times on diverse matters at The American Psychoanalytic Scientific Meetings and has conducted workshops at schools, camps, and professional societies.
