Anthony C. Ocampo
Assistant Professor of Sociology
Dr. Anthony Ocampo is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Cal Poly Pomona, one of the most racially diverse college campuses in the country. His award-winning research and teaching focuses on the experiences of minority groups in the United States. He has published research on the cultural and educational experiences of Latinos, Asian Americans, and LGBT people in the U.S. in leading journals in the field, including Ethnic and Racial Studies, Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, Latino Studies, and Journal of Asian American Studies. He is currently working on two books on immigration, which are under contract with Stanford University Press and NYU Press, respectively. He has been invited to speak at colleges throughout the country, including Stanford University, University of Pennsylvania, and the University of California.
Dr. Ocampo is a graduate of Stanford University (BA ’03, MA ’04) and the University of California, Los Angeles (MA ’06, PhD ’11).
