Chloe E. Bird, PhD, FAAAS, FAAHB, is a senior sociologist at the RAND Corporation, where she studies women’s health and health disparities, determinants of sex and gender differences in health and health care, and the societal impact of increasing investments in research on the health of women.  She is also a professor at the Pardee RAND Graduate School and Associate Editor of the journal Women’s Health Issues.  She is Principal Investigator along with Priya Batra of a PCORI Engagement Award on maternal Birth-centered Outcomes Research (B-CORE) in MediCal and Co-Principal Investigator of a study of the economic impact of increasing research on women’s health. She is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the American Academy of Health Behavior.
