Linda Young is a counseling psychologist with over twenty-five years of practice, teaching and public speaking experience. She is committed to delivering mental health messages to the public and has been interviewed on national television and radio programs including NPR, Voice of America, CNN and A & E Television Classroom as well as dozens of network news affiliates. She has been quoted in publications such as O, The Oprah Magazine, USA Today, The Chicago Tribune, Christian Science Monitor, Essence, Ebony, and Working Mother and has published textbook chapters, academic and popular psychology articles. She blogs for PsychologyToday.com at http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/love-in-limbo.

Dr. Young received her Ph.D. from Columbia University and has been a staff psychologist at Seattle University and UC San Diego, an assistant professor of psychology at National University in La Jolla, CA, and counseling instructor at the City University of New York.
