Revised Edition Ensuring Inequality

Check out CCF’s Donna Franklin newest book with CCF’s Angela James as co-author!

9780195100785Donna L. Franklin is a nationally recognized scholar on the African-American family. When her book Ensuring Inequality was published it was hailed by the Washington Post as the ‘most important book written on the black family in recent years.’ She has held academic appointments at Smith College, USC, and the University of Chicago. She was the national Co-Chair of the Council on Contemporary Families from 1997-1999 and has also served on its board of directors. Her first book won the American Sociological Association’s Wm. J. Goode Distinguished Award. She is the first African-American author to win this award. Oxford University Press is publishing a new edition of Ensuring Inequality. It will have three additional chapters and she has added Angela James as a co-author.
